Sabe o que é a Vigorexia?
A Vigorexia não é ainda considerada uma doença do comportamento alimentar, mas está descrita como uma perturbação “atípica” do mesmo. Resolvemos falar-vos do tema, pois dando uma certa continuidade ao assunto abordado anteriormente, anorexia, sabe-se que a pessoa vigoréxica apresenta um narcisismo muito parecido com a anoréctica, e por isso, esta situação é também conhecida como anorexia reversa ou dismorfia muscular. Enquanto as anorécticas se vêem com peso a mais e lutam para diminui-lo, as pessoas vigoréxicas sentem-se esculpidas e querem aumentar cada vez mais a sua massa muscular exibindo com orgulho a sua aparência musculosa.
Atinge principalmente culturistas e dependentes do exercício e tende a afectar mais homens do que mulheres, pois estes são mais pressionados socialmente a serem musculados. A maioria afectada são homens entre os 18 e 35 anos, que dedicam entre 3 a 4 horas diárias ao exercício. O regime alimentar passa pelo elevado teor proteica e a importância dada a produtos dopantes.
